Post-Installed Concrete Anchor Installation Inspector is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge required to properly inspect the installation of post-installed adhesive and mechanical anchors in concrete. Important!No refund will be granted within one week of the exam date and no request to move to another exam date will be accepted.

Classes not meeting the minimum number of registrants will be cancelled and rescheduled to the next available class.

What To Expect

The class is shown as a two-day course in conjunction with Adhesive Anchor Installer certification.

There are two written examinations:

  1. Part I-Installation is closed book and 45 minutes in length.
  2. Part II-Inspection is open book and two hours in length.

There is no performance exam. ACI will grant certification only to those applicants who attain passing grades on both written examination parts and either (A) have been certified as an ACI Adhesive Anchor Installer or (B) have attended a live hands-on practice session or viewed the instructor-guided video on the installation of adhesive anchors. A Practice Session Verification Form must be filled out and submitted with the examinations.

What To Bring

Bring a photograph ID, calculator, and No. 2 pencils to the exam.

If attending a hands-on practice session, examinees are required to bring, at a minimum, long pants, sleeved shirt and work shoes while participating in the practice session. Examinees will not be allowed to participate in the practice session without these items.

It is the responsibility of the examinee to provide any additional PPE they deem necessary to protect themselves from injuries due to handling materials, or if applicable, caustic burns, which may occur from coming in contact with cementitious materials. PPE is NOT provided by the Alaska Chapter.

A workbook is included with a full exam ticket purchase. If you need the workbook mailed, please contact us with the mailing instructions. Do not rely on the registration to notify us.
